Srdjan Milenkovic obtained a PhD in 2002 from the State University of Campinas, Brazil. He joined the Department of Materials Technology at the Max-Planck-Institute for Iron Research (MPIE) in Düsseldorf, Germany, as a Research Associate. Since March 2011, he was appointed as a Head of the Solidification Processing and Engineering group at the IMDEA Materials Institute. His research expertise includes advanced solidification processing techniques with special emphasis on gas atomization of powders for additive manufacturing and development of novel high- throughput casting methods. He has published over 55 papers in JCR journals, among which two in Nano Letters with impact factor >10.

Tomasz Kurzynowski has completed his PhD 6 years ago from the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology and a professional development program from the Stanford University. He is the Manager of Metal Additive Manufacturing Technology & Material Laboratory, a member of the board of the Science Infrastructure Management Society. He has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals and over 150 industrial expertises. His current research interest include: additive manufacturing technologies and design methods for functional optimization or weight reduction of designed or reengineered parts, especially for the aerospace industry.

Patrycja Szymczyk received her PhD (2015) degree from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of WrUST. Her current research interests are related to medical applications of AM technologies and includes the design, manufacturing and testing of advanced biomedical objects, such as biomechanical functional structures (BFS) for tissue regeneration, custom-made implants and smart drugs delivery systems for a wide spectrum of materials dedicated to the medical and pharmaceutical industry.

Professor Dr. Dimitris Drikakis is Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. His expertise is in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and micro/nanoscale processes at fluid-solid interfaces. He has been active in both fundamental and applied research. To date, he has co-authored two books in the field of computational fluid dynamics and has published about 400 papers in the above technical areas

Nickolas S. Sapidis is a Professor of “Computational Design and Analysis of Machine Elements” with the University of Western Macedonia (Greece). He has also taught at the University of the Aegean, the National Technical University of Athens, and the Polytechnic University of Catalunya. N. Sapidis has published more than 70 papers on Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). His industrial experience includes General Motors (USA) and the Marine Technology Development Co (Greece). N. Sapidis is a member of the Editorial board of many scientific journals, including CAD (Elsevier), Computer-Aided Design and Applications (Taylor & Francis), and 3D Research (Springer)
